fuckyeahtattoos: “For small creatures such as we the vastness is bearable only through love.” -Carl Sagan. Tattoo done by James Zehna at Sailor Jim’s Electric Tattoo in Logan, Utah. This tattoo means so much to me and is a testament to my relationship with husband  but also my love of nature and our place in within it. He’s an aerospace engineer and introduced me to the wonderful writings of Carl Sagan and I became hooked. I’ve always been a literature fan/bookworm and am completely in love with nature around me but I was completely blown away with how Sagan expresses the beauty of the universe around us. This world, this experience, this life, really is only bearable through the love of those in our lives, it’s hard work being human and we really need that compassion for each other. This quote is just awesome.
